Josef Acosta earned his Juris Doctor from the University of La Verne College of Law and passed the California Bar Examination. Before joining Legal Corner, Josef worked in a wide range of practice areas, including civil, criminal, family, probate, appellate, employment, and business law, as well as contract and tort disputes. He worked directly with clients, appeared at court hearings, communicated with opposing counsel and government agencies, and prepared pleadings, motions, briefs, demand letters, appellate filings, and other court documents. This broad experience taught him to evaluate legal issues from multiple perspectives while remaining focused on each client’s individual goals.
At Legal Corner, Josef represents employees in employment matters, with a focus on negotiating resolutions in disputes involving discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wrongful termination, and wage-and-hour violations. He believes strongly in protecting workers’ rights and advocating for fair and respectful treatment in the workplace.
Outside of work, Josef enjoys playing basketball, weightlifting, and being a proud dog dad to his pit bull mix.
