Attorney Vernis earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Law from California State University, Northridge. She later earned her Juris Doctor and was admitted to the California State Bar.

During and after law school, she served with the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office, where she gained extensive courtroom and litigation experience handling a wide range of felony criminal matters. Working alongside seasoned prosecutors, she was involved in various stages of felony prosecution, including conducting legal research, drafting motions, preparing witnesses, developing case strategy, and appearing in court. Throughout her time with the District Attorney’s Office, she appeared in numerous hearings and court proceedings, gaining significant hands-on courtroom experience. This practical experience strengthened her advocacy skills, sharpened her litigation abilities, and provided a strong foundation in trial preparation and courtroom practice.

Today, she focuses her practice on representing injured workers throughout every stage of the California workers’ compensation process. Building upon her commitment to advocacy and protecting the rights of individuals, she brings her litigation background and courtroom experience to helping employees navigate complex legal matters.
